Jennifer bridges the connection between the Mandala tearoom + the Mandala apothecary as the director of both operations. She is an ambitious self-motivated entrepreneur. Fascinated by the world of Feng Shui + Taoist philosophy, Jennifer discovered in her a true passion + started a successful consultancy business named Harmonious Places after deciding to depart her corporate sales + marketing career. Jennifer is a certified Feng Shui practitioner from one the world’s leading experts. She has been trained in classical Feng Shui, the Five Element Theory + Taoist Nutrition + Healing. Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages from Arizona State University + a Master of International Management from Thunderbird – The Garvin School of International Management. She is a successful bi-lingual (Spanish/English) + multi-cultural business woman who demonstrated leadership skills in hiring, training, motivating + managing people as well as profit + loss centers.  She has traveled extensively throughout Latin America + Europe for both business negotiations + personal pleasure where she gained a love for an eclectic style. Jennifer is a Scottsdale native who loves listening to her son, Diego, play guitar.

Jessica is a Registered + Certified Dietitian with greater than 15 years of formal education in nutrition sciences. She has augmented her strong foundation in nutritional biochemistry, diet therapy + health education with holistic + ancient nutrition approaches such as ayurvedic medicine, macrobiotics, healing with whole foods +, in particular, plant-based diets. In addition to her education, she has many years of hands-on nutrition counseling. Using a strategy of behavioral change + an inclusionary approach to healthy eating she has coached numerous individuals + groups to find a path of wellness through lifestyle change. She has demonstrated strong leadership skills in her most recent position as the director of clinical nutrition services in a healthcare environment. Through her visionary leadership she was able to bring about numerous positive changes in a very resistant environment of traditional medicine.

 

With her strong education + work experience, Jessica is a sought after speaker + writer on nutrition + wellness. She speaks nationally on disease prevention through diet. Specifically, her expertise has focused on plant-based diets, functional foods, cardiovascular wellness + food allergies. In addition, she has written numerous publications on varied nutrition topics. Her most recent publication, Nutrition for a Healthy Heart, has received national recognition + awards. She has a strong personal commitment to plant-based diets + is currently raising two healthy + very active vegan children.  She enjoys being in nature as much as possible + is an avid trail runner, hiker, yogi + recreational vegan cook.
